Op-ed in Atlanta Jewish Times says the slaying of the president may be an effective way to thwart Iran’s nuclear program
NEW YORK – The owner and publisher of the Atlanta Jewish Times, Andrew Adler, has suggested that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu consider ordering a Mossad hit team to assassinate U.S. President Barack Obama so that his successor will defend Israel against Iran.
Adler, who has since apologized for his article, listed three options for Israel to counter Iran’s nuclear weapons in an article published in his newspaper last Friday. The first is to launch a pre-emptive strike against Hamas and Hezbollah, the second is to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities and the third is to “give the go-ahead for U.S.-based Mossad agents to take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel in order for the current vice president to take his place and forcefully dictate that the United States’ policy includes its helping the Jewish state obliterate its enemies.”
Adler goes on to write: “Yes, you read “three correctly”. Order a hit on a president in order to preserve Israel’s existence. Think about it. If have thought of this Tom-Clancy-type scenario, don’t you think that this almost unfathomable idea has been discussed in Israel’s most inner circles?”
Adler apologized yesterday for the article, saying “I very much regret it; I wish I hadn’t made reference to it at all,” Adler told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. And in an interview with Gawker.com, Adler denied that he was advocating an assassination of Obama.
The American Jewish Committee in Atlanta last night issued a harsh condemnation of Adler’s article, saying that his proposals are “shocking beyond belief.”
“While we acknowledge Mr. Adler’s apology, we are flabbergasted that he could ever say such a thing in the first place. How could he even conceive of such a twisted idea?” said Dov Wilker, director of AJC Atlanta. “Mr. Adler surely owes immediate apologies to President Obama, as well as to the State of Israel and his readership, the Atlanta Jewish community.”

As I watch this story develop, one thing stands out as a real head-shaker. While there has been an ‘uproar’ over the suggestion to take out Pres Obama (and rightly so), there has been precious little offense taken to the suggestion to unleash violence against Iranians, Lebanese, and Palestinians. Has aggressive and intrusive violence against the ‘other’ become so commonplace that the call to arms against them barely raises an eyebrow?
Israel has been out of control for decades because they know their position with regards to the Palestinians cannot be legitimized in any way shape or form. They have become what they abhor.
It wouldn’t be the first presidential assassination by the Jewish state. John Kennedy was assassinated because of his refusal to give Israel the atomic bomb (Johnson cooperated promptly and well, by pre-arrangement).
If Israel took “credit” for the next one, however, that WOULD be a first.
So finally we see something resembling of what really goes on behind closed doors, what is discussed among people who sit at the top of the tree, people who know what others are thinking and therefore feel confident enough to put it in print. I don’t think this is the lone ravings of a lone maniac, plotting on his own, fantasizing in private. The Zionists and Jewish right wing have become so sure of themselves, see their position as unassailable, their way as the right way. They are of the same ilk as the fascists in Germany were in the 1930′s, see themselves as the superior race, see nothing wrong with 29 standing ovations or ‘friends of Israel’ manipulating UK foreign policy, as Craig Murray reported about a few weeks ago.
As Johnathan Cook reported, Ovadia Yosef, a former chief rabbi of Israel said: Goyim are like donkeys, born only to serve us.
They will drag the world into another major conflagration with no care or consideration for the consequences, their only concern is expansion of territory. It’s the corrupt thugs who govern Israel at the moment who are the threat to world peace, along with their paid lobbyists such as Tony Blair who talk continuously about the threat of Fundamental Islamism, while all the time these warmongers are pulling the strings to get what they want.
Why is Andrew Adler not, by now, wearing an orange jump suit in Gitmo??? If this was an American Arab or other Muslim in America, that one would already be there!!!
