Take Action: Mark Our Partial Victory by Stepping Up the Pressure!
Dear Supporter,
Thanks to more than 5,300 individuals and 55 organizations asking the National Building Museum to rescind its annual prize to Caterpillar for “innovation in construction technology,” the museum has cancelled its public award ceremony.
The success of this action, led by the Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice, and endorsed by the US Campaign, is another partial victory in our ongoing boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) campaign to hold Caterpillar accountable for profiting from Israeli human rights abuses, including the killing of Rachel Corrie, a U.S. activist who was crushed to death by a Caterpillar D9 bulldozer in 2003, as she nonviolently protected a Palestinian home in the Gaza Strip from demolition by Israel.
However, we can’t be content with the National Building Museum’s decision because they have not yet completely agreed to rescind the award.
Next week, Cindy and Craig Corrie (Rachel’s parents), will hand-deliver the petition to the National Building Museum urging them to rescind the award to Caterpillar. Let’s help them meet their goal of delivering 10,000 petition signatures.

As evidenced by the museum’s decision to cancel the public award ceremony for Caterpillar, our activism makes a difference. Take action today to help transform this partial victory into a full victory.
