Matan Cohen arrested by IDF soldiers (Photo: Ma'an)
Dear friends,
I write to you with great urgency today:
On 19 November 2009, the Tel Aviv District Court ruled against me in the lawsuit regarding my injury during a protest in the West Bank in February 2006. (I was shot, together with 14 others, with several bullets, one of which hit my eye, and partially blinded me.) See

Not only that, the judge also ruled I pay some 78.000NIS ($20,000) in compensation to the state, as she deemed it a “frivolous lawsuit.”
As I appeal the ruling to the Supreme Court, on December 22, 2011, I urgently require, by early July, the reminder of those 78.000 NIS. I was able to pay some with the help of a similar appeal for donations some months back, but I still owe over half that some. If we fail to find the money, I might be imprisoned.
I’d be very grateful if you could possibly support this plea in one way or another.
