A Turkish military delegation arrived Tuesday [22 June 2010] in Tel Aviv to conclude test-runs in the delivery of four Israeli-made drones, the remaining lot in a 10-UAV deal between Turkey and Israel.

The Turkish delegation will stay in Tel Aviv for nearly two-weeks to test the Heron UAVs, the electronic equipment and spare parts.

Six drones were shipped to Turkey in February under the $180-million contract.

Relations between Turkey and Israel saw a heavy blow after Israeli commandos raided late May a Gaza-bound aid flotilla and killed eight Turkish nationals and a US citizen of Turkish descent.
